Welcome to the new local-shoppers.com. Just like everything else in life, the internet changes constantly, especially the way people use it. In the past we focused on providing incredible deals for everyone who came to our site to use. We thought this would be a great incentive for people to shop local. Their were a few problems with this line of thinking though.
1. Not everyone has a printer to get these amazing offers

Hello local shoppers
It's 2011 now and there is a lot in the works for us here at local-shoppers.com. But before I get into that, I want to personally thank each and everyone of you for all of your support over the past year. 2010 was a great year for us as we totaled over 4,000,000 hits to this site! That's over one and a half million more than we had last year and more than 10 times the amount we had in 2008. So, from all of us here at local-shoppers.com, thank you for being local-shoppers!

This Thursday, December 9, 2010, we are going to be doing a huge give away on facebook! We have more than $1000 in free local gift certificates to give away. The purpose of the give away is to help you, the local shopper, save money for the holidays and also to get attention to the local businesses in our communities. Currently, most of the giveaways that we will be doing are for local businesses in Lewis County, Washington. However, we will be looking to add more businesses from both Thurston County and Cowlitz County as well.

It's that time of year again and there are a lot of families out there in need of a miracle. That's why we have decided to help the Adopt A Family organization this year. From now til December 18th, we will be donating 25% of all advertising proceeds to Adopt A family. We have had several contributions already, including cash donations, gift certificates, meal packages and christmas trees.
